A summer full of Colour

Primrose Hill Panorama

As colorful the past summer has been, the more gray, dark and dull this fall will be. And while it is a perfect season to do some photography, the weather at the moment says otherwise. Stormy and rainy, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to get any better soon. Nevertheless I am determined to capture the perfect Autumn shot and you’ll know once it’s up on here.

Meanwhile I’ve finally uploaded a compilation of the photos I took on my brief vacation of three days in London this summer. The photo above is Primrose Hill, a 180° panorama view of London. No, not all of them obviously, there were like 2000 of them! Anyway, without further adieu, enjoy!

Nig Ben

Oh yeah: The Big Ben this year was quite special because of the Olympics....

Black & White II

It’s been a while since I posted new content, mainly because the server hosting that this website has, has been undergoing some hardware upgrades.

Nevertheless… here’s another one of my B/W shots. I hope you like it.

And there is something else… In just over five weeks I’m going to be in London, all packed up with my photo gear. Expecting night recordings as well as some artistic shootings. More perhaps later.

Antwerp Alley

I just love shooting at night. It gives a certain mood to images because of all the different light sources and the colors. This orange glow of streetlights gives me this familiar feeling.

On this photograph I rather tried a more artistic approach to the scene: an unusual angle and a high contrast Black & White… It makes the image more authentic.

I hope you enjoy this photograph.

Like light trails on the highway

light trails on the highwayImages can tell great stories and they can mean many different things to each individual person. I let you decide for this photograph.

This photo was taken yesterday, with a long shutter time to give the impression of time, and a narrow aperture for a nice crispy image. I also used a wide angle lens to get as much information as possible from the scene.

People living in Antwerp will know where about this is.

A little bit more about content…

Blue April Flower

Okay, so here’s the thing…

To grow content on this website, I will try to release at least one photograph every week with some value or story. The subject can be anything. A simple flower, some kids on a play yard or a portrait of person or a busy highway. My most interesting shot of the week will be featured on this blog.

For this week – and for the first day of May – I have a Gardenia flower for you, with a simple yet quite nice looking composition…

First blog on my new website!

Posted By Steve / April, 29, 2012 / 0 comments

Well here we are then, my first blog on my newly -relaunched- website. For the past few months I’ve been struggling with my old website having to update things manually from withing the database and things not working the way they should be, most of all the lack of time that I had in creating a website from the ground up and maintaining it. So I here by declare my website back in service and welcome.

Next to a new website I also have my very own domain, and ever since I find myself more in the field working on art projects, it will be easier for me to share my content with you and the rest of the world.

I have some things that I want to say in regards of launching a new website like this and of course its content. Obviously having a new website means no– or almost no content, but fear not people, I’ll be adding more content during the next few days.

This website is a blog, and it will serve as a way for me to share my art, whether it is my photography, music or just some stuff that I want to push right out of my front door, into the world. It will also be a great platform to find out more about my life and most of the things that I experience in life, whether it is about my art or just simple life stuff, I will be posting here.

So I hope you enjoy your stay here and I hope you like this website. If you have any suggestions, or you just want to get in touch with me, hop onto the contact page and drop me a message.
